Standard Spiral Tool in Illustrator can create only logarithmic spirals, but what we should do, if we need spiral with equal distance between turns - Archimedean (arithmetic) spiral?

This is really simply. First step - create several parallel lines.

Select right anchor points with Direct Selection Tool and move them a little up.

Here is what we got.

Group all lines....

... and drug-and-drop to Brushes window.

Window "New Brush" will appears. Select "New Art Brush".

Type a name or just press "Ok" button.

Create a circle and apply your new brush.
