How to distribute objects along spiral

Here is an example of distributing objects along spiral:

Create two circles using "Ellipse Tool".

Go to "Object - Blend - Blend Options".

"Blend Options" window will appear. Set "Spacing - Specified Steps" and enter quantity of steps.

Now select both circles and press "Alt+Ctrl+B" or make "Object - Blend - Make".

Here is what we get.

Now we need just replace "Spine". Create spiral using "Spiral Tool" as shown below.

Select all and go to "Object - Blend - Replace Spine".

Ready!

There is another way to do the same. First - double click on path to enter inside isolated group.

Create spiral

Our circles will distribute between line and spiral. Delete line with "Selection Tool".

Exit isolated group

Now you can "Expand" object.

Ready!
